Happy Birthday

You can lick them, dip them and munch and crunch them  There really is nothing like an OREO.  I was shocked to learn that Oreo's are now 100 years old.  That is a long time for one cookie.  Of course, I am pretty sure that there aren't too many of us out there that hasn't had them at least once.  (some of us more than we should)  Golden Oreo's got me through my pregnancy with my daughter - copious amounts of them. !!!
Oreo's have come a long way from just dipping.  There are so many different ways they have been re-invented by some of the most creative minds around.  If you are having a party and are looking for some unique ideas for treats try some of these.

Now I've got your attention!!  Ya, who wouldn't love a Chocolate Chip cookie wrapped around an Oreo!!  I made these puppies last year - wow.  They were amazing!!  There is a lot of power packed into one these.  One cookie and you are done - plus they have no calories wink wink.  This recipe is a must try.   Such fun.

Mint Oreo Truffles
Oreo Cookie Balls - Bakerella

Oreo cookie Balls.  I was a little hesitant at first, but seriously these little gems are so addictive - (Maybe that's not a selling point)  They are super easy to make and so flexible.  Like cake pops they can be put on a stick and decorated for any holiday, theme or season.  They would be a great addition to any party.

Finally, the newest way I have found to use Oreo's is to dress them up with a chocolate coating.  These are so darn cute and would dress up a loot bag in style.

Now seriously who wouldn't love one of these beautiful works of art.  I hear they are easy to do and they make such a statement!!

Regardless of what you choose to do with your Oreo's one things for sure - they will be yummy no matter what.  Happy Birthday Oreo.

What a Group

Oh my goodess.  What a Blast.  The Old Navy Funnovation Imaginarium with the BUNCH group was sooo much fun.  I had never been involved with this type of event before, but I would do it in a heart beat.

I gathered my dream team who did not dissapoint.  Everyone had smiles and were so into the event and involved.  It was amazing.  The true spirit of the event was felt by all.
The kids loved dancing and the "CAT" walk - the limbo was a hit  Maude and Brian from Quality Entertainment.  The Energy was phenomenal.  I can hardly wait to see the photos that were taken by Daniel
I also cannot say enough about the Old Navy Rideau staff.  What a team  Paul, Nat and Priya were awesome and so accomodating to the staff.  Thank you.
Let's do it again next year??!!!

We are so excited to be staffing the Old Navy Funovation Imaginarium on Monday Feb. 20th.  What could be better than a free event made for families on Family day.

Local photographer Danielle Donders will be snappn' a few pics and Ottawa's own Yummy Mummy Loukia of LouLou's views will be hosting the event.
the Bunch family has pulled out all the stops for this one.

So come on down and see us. Our fabulous staff will get you in the groove to the DJ's tunes and make your family day memorable.

See you at the Rideau Center from 1 - 4.

Valentine's Love

The party was a hit. The kids all had fun and I think the mom's enjoyed a Valentine's day with a glass of wine, occupied children and good friends.

I Can't help Falling in Love

What can I say.  I love my kids and I love LOVE day!!  What's a valentine's day without a party.  I am seriously looking forward to my daughter's Valentine's Tea party.  I made a cute Smilebox invitation with one of the pictures one of my favourite photographers took at our local candy sotre.  Gotta love Sugar Mountain!!  It was fun.
This cute photo gave me the idea to finally have my daughters school friends over.  She has been asking for while and I finally decided I needed to take time to make time!!  So off I went to put together a hopefully fun and cute tea party.  (I almost forgot about the tea party part oops)  Here are a few sneak peaks.
I saw this cute idea on Pinterest.  S'more treat bags.

I also have little Martha treat boxes

All dolled up and ready to party

The little one is making homemade graham crackers.  Yummy.  I got the recipe here.  The leftovers I have dipped in chocolate and will add a few homemade marshmallows for teacher and bus driver gifts.
The party is on Tuesday.  Let's hope that 7 little girls and one little boy will fall in love with everything as I have.

Fast and Furious

Life is just crazy these days.  What happened to the lazy days of summer?  Oh, we'll it is all pretty exciting stuff.  After the successful Ice cream Bash I thought it might be a quiet summer, but no... now we are happily neck deep in Super Stars.  We are developing our first ROCK STAR party for a beautiful 9 year old to be.  She is gorgeous and full of life - definately most real rock stars could learn from her!!!
This one is a tough one for a control freak who will be on vacation during the party.  UGH, I won't be there.  I may not be able to concentrate on relaxing!!!  I am sure that my new event staff will do a great job.  She is amazing!!!
Next we are helping out with the styling of a friends Breast Cancer Corn roast fundraiser on Sat.  I am soooo looking forward to this.  We are going to turn this into a sea of PINK!!!!  I love it!  I will post some pictures when I get them.
Paper Straws....oooh they are amazingly cute and just perfect for any party and coincedently flying off the shelves.  It has only been a few weeks since we brought in our new line of straws, push-pop containers and popcorn bags and they are FLYING off the shelves!!  Get them while they are still in stock.
Finally, my gorgeous daughter big 4th is coming at lightening speed.  Jessie Rainbow party is well on it's way.  I am super excited about the theme.  Cowgirl meets rainbow.  Her imagination rocks.
I'll keep you posted on all the deets.  We don't have too many pics yet, but it's all in process!!  Stay tuned.
